Above roughly twenty-five guests a classical guitarist needs discreet amplification, and a professional brings it. Outdoors, sound disperses quickly, so the right speaker is what keeps nylon strings audible over ocean breeze in Laguna or fountain noise in a San Juan Capistrano courtyard. I need a level six-foot spot, one outlet or my battery rig, and shade for hot afternoons — direct sun is hard on nylon strings and on the musician playing them.
Three Hiring Mistakes to Avoid
Booking on price alone. The cheapest "classical guitarist" is often a student without professional sound. Assuming any guitarist plays classical.
